Why do I have to pay for this? I thought it was free.
You don't have to pay to use the Digital
Datcom program. It's available as a free version. However, the Datcom+
Pro version has been built to make the process of building, debugging,
and using an aircraft model much more efficient. Spend your time working on
your model instead of trying to figure out why things aren't working. Use the
tools that come with Datcom+ Pro to plot the coefficient data and
pull those plots into your report quickly and efficiently, rather than
struggling with selecting tools and figuring out how to configure them for
what you need. Use the built-in baselining tools to
play "What If?" with your design, and very quickly see the results of
modifications, to both the coefficients and the flying qualities.
Still, why do you charge for it?
The Digital Datcom consists of over 62,000
lines of Fortran IV code. Throw in 3,000 more lines of C and C++ code for the
supporting programs, and a few hundred lines of Makefiles
to build everything, and a couple off-the-shelf packages. These packages
are all configured to work in harmony, to allow you to be productive
immediately, instead of spending dozens of hours trying to figure out how to
get these packages compiled and working in harmony. Add in over 90 pages
of documentation, a dozen examples of different types of aircraft, and you can
see where this package will save you a LOT of time. Isn't your time worth the
price of the package?
How do I get support for either the program or my model?
Send an email to datcom@holycows.net. If you are having
problems with your model, send it as an attachment, and describe what you are
trying to do or the problem that you are having. If your aircraft is not something
that can be found on the internet, including a picture of what it's supposed to
look like would be helpful as well.
What if I don’t like it? Can I return it for a refund?
No. Absolutely no refunds will be issued.

Can I share this program with my friends?
Absolutely NOT! This program is licensed to
your computer, and your computer only. You will not be able to buy one copy and
share it among many computers. Doing so is against the licensing agreement, and
any damage to a computer running an illegal version of Datcom+ Pro is
completely out of our hands. Holy Cows, Inc. will not be responsible
for any side effects from attempting to run an unlicensed program on your
computer, including but not limited to partial or complete erasure of your hard
drive. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Support
Policy

Technical
support for the Software is provided via e-mail. In some cases, Author may examine
your sample project. By providing Holy Cows, Inc. with your sample project, you
grant them the rights to modify, analyze, or experiment with your project, and
to include your project into their test base. Distribution rights to this
project will remain with you unless explicitly released to Holy Cows, Inc. via
an email release from you.
Return
Policy

No
returns of any kind will be accepted once you have received your license key
for the software.

Software is distributed "as is". No warranty of any kind is expressed
